RULES & REGULATIONS

At DEO Airsoft, we believe the best games are built on a foundation of integrity and mutual respect. Our rules aren’t just here for safety—they ensure every player, from the first-timer to the seasoned vet, enjoys a fair and competitive environment. By stepping onto our field, you’re joining a community that values sportsmanship as much as strategy. Gear up, stay sharp, and play honorably.

Weapon Restrictions

  • NO EXPOSED WEAPONS OUTSIDE DEO ASC!
  • All weapons must be transported inside weapon bags/cases/or adjacent containers for safety.
  • 1.20 Joule Maximum rating for all weapons.
  • All HPA tanks must be tournament locked by DEO staff.
  • Maximum Allowable BB weight is .28 gram BB’s.
  • Maximum firing rate of 25 rounds per second for all weapons.
  • No full auto, binary triggers, burst shots, or rapid fire shooting.
  • No real steel of any kind inside of the arena, including knives, multi-tools, clippers, scissors, firearms, etc.
  • No loaded magazines outside of the arena.
  • All weapons must have a working and functional safety.
  • No modified or extended triggers (ie. binary). 

Player Behavior

  • Airsoft is an integrity sport, honoring the rules of the game and calling your hits is mandatory.
  • Admins have first and final say, follow all instructions provided by clearly marked DEO Staff.
  • A player getting “hit” is defined by a BB striking that player on any part of their body or gear. Players must yell “hit” when this occurs.
  • When a BB strikes a player’s weapon, it counts as a “gun hit”. These do not count, and players must yell “gun hit” when this occurs.
  • Ricochets do not count.
  • Do not be argumentative or verbally combative.
  • Do not call other peoples hits.
  • Zero tolerance for theft, cheating, or stealing, this calls for immediate expulsion.
  • No bullying, malicious behavior, or foul language, this is strictly not allowed.
  • No shooting at ceiling, sprinklers, or lights.
  • No opening closed doors or closing opened doors.
  • No climbing, moving, modifying, or adjusting any of the structures or fixtures within the Arena.

The "3 Band" Rule

All players that have filled out a waiver and have paid for their session, will receive 2 arm bands, one green, and one yellow. After players complete a mandatory safety brief, they will receive a third, red arm band. Should an admin need to speak that player in reference to negative behavior or performance, the following actions may be taken:

  1. First Offense, removal of the Green Wristband as a warning, and immediate return to play.
  2.  Second Offense, removal of the Yellow Wristband and a 10 minute suspension.
  3. Third Offense, removal of the Red Wristband and a full day suspension. Players may return the following game day.


Should these offenses occur twice within a 30 day period, the player will be banned for a period of 30 days.

Equipment Regulations

  • Full Seal, ANSI Z87 Rated, Eye Protection is mandatory.
  • Mesh eye protection is not permitted.
  • Ages 17 and under mandatory full hardened face protection.
  • Strobes are allowed (flashing light warning)
  • No open toed shoes, this includes crocs and adjacent footwear.
  • Green and Red lasers are allowed.
  • No Blue or Purple lasers are permitted.
  • Foam/Cold Steel/contact safe melee weapons are allowed (will need DEO Staff approval). No thrusting, swinging, or throwing is permitted. Tapping a player with the weapon eliminates them.
  • No riot shields. 

Grenade Regulations

  • Any approved grenade must be used in the High Ceiling Arena Section ONLY, not the office spaces.
  • Grenades have a 10 foot kill radius. If a detonation occurs and you are within 10 feet, you have been eliminated.
  • Specific, cold burning, Pyro Grenades are allowed. Taggin AFG-4, AFG-6, and Enola Gaye EG67.
  • Green Gas Grenades are allowed.
  • CO2 Powered Grenades are allowed
  • Blank firing .209 primer, nail gun charge grenades are allowed. No caliber exceeding this is permitted.
  • Spring Powered Grenades are allowed. However, they are of a negligible sound. Please be patient with other players that may not recognize you eliminated them.
  • No smoke grenades.
  • No Homemade or Improvised Grenades. Exceptions will be granted with staff inspection and approval.
  • Do not maliciously throw grenades at any person. 
  • Grenades are to be thrown underhanded only, with Cherub Impact grenades permitted to be thrown overhand.

Building Etiquette

  • No food is permitted anywhere except for the lounge.
  • No drugs or alcohol are permitted.
  • No outside food is permitted.
  • No vaping, e-cigarettes, etc inside the building.
  • No blatantly inappropriate clothing, patches, or attire
